Many of the community members voiced their preference for a leaner approach to managing mods. This arrives as a reaction to a prolonged period of some players voicing their dissatisfaction over the client only being available via Overwolf, and was revealed together with a larger announcement of the CurseForge API being released ( you can read the full version here), and here is the relevant section: After a long time of only being available via the Overwolf app, CurseForge has announced that it is now once again available in standalone form! The CurseForge addon manager app Alpha is now available and you can download it over on their site (but be careful to click the right link):
